Global Awarenes and Protection for the Harassment Victim Community  (GAPFHVC)

At its root, the GAPFHVC website is a Date Verification Scam.  You are signed up for a low quality dating site (uses fake profiles).

The site is the most sophisticated Online Dating Verification site I have come across.  There are multiple navigation options, there appears to be an online community, and a logon feature.  I am not sure if the logon really works, or if it is just another part of the scam enticing you to re-verify and get charged again.

The reader who alerted me to GAPFHVC, was charged multiple times from different sites.  Since he was from Finland, his experience would be different than mine in the US.  Because of this, I was not able to re-create exactly what happend to him.

Update

Since I first posted the video, WIX, the hosting company, has removed the website.  I have excluded the URL because it is no longer operational.  It doesn’t take much to recreate such a scam site, so they will be back I am sure.

I understand why WIX takes down a site like this.  Nobody wants a turd on their lawn.  It must be noted however, that this does not really help.  The scammer will set up another site, and that name or site will be unknown to me or other scam trackers.   In doing that, a person searching for the new site will find nothing that warns them.
