Streamray’s parent company is Friend Finder Networks.  FFN has many sites such as friendfinder.com, amigos.com, and passion.com as well as many adult themed websites like adultfriendfinder.com and alt.com.  Here is a review and what you need to know…

Is GaloreCams legitimate?

The best I can tell, galorecams.com is legitimate for what it offers.   It is pretty obvious what you get, and nothing hidden or deceptive about the site.   However, you could be  scammed in to signing up in more ways than one.

How people get scammed into signing up for GalorCams

The first way is something we see a lot of, which is a petty con game.

A reader gave me a heads up, he was trying to meet a girl “Marce”, and was directed to a site.  She said he had to sign up to the site and prove he wasn’t a cop, before she would meet him.

First, he was directed to a site that described Marce  “playdatemarce.com”.  There he was informed that he would have to sign up to the cam site.  I have explored this site, and it appears “Marce” has three different personas.

All three share the same name “Marce” and have the same plan,  sign up for a cam site if you want to meet her in person.  You can safely conclude that the person you are speaking to is none of the above ladies.

Then the reader was directed to kinkycam1, which redirects to GaloreCams.com

The reader did a couple of searches and found this article about glasscams, and was wise enough not to sign up.

StreamRay Better Business Bureau Complaints

There are four complaints at the BBB website

I never authorized a charge for this company. I’ve never heard of it.

…never even visited or put my card info on this site.

I appears that they hacked my checking account…

I have never authorized a transaction to your company.

In my estimation, none of the above happened.  Rather the individuals were tricked in to signing up.  The most likely candidate is the Get Verified Scam, where you meet a person in an online dating forum, and they say before you meet them, you have to get verified.  You sign up to the website they give you, however underneath that sign up is really a sign up to a cam site.

Fight the GaloreCams Scams

Without passing any judgement on the themes or content, I beleive that Friend Finder Networks is a legitimate company.  It might be a big task, but they will want to clean up any fraudulent sign up practices.

If you know where you were signed up, how you got there then there was a link you were given.  At some point, it is transformed into an affiliate link.  That link will identify the person who sent you there.  Here is what it looked like for the reader who alerted me:

The reader who alterted me, sent me the ad, and I verified what he said.  However, as I am writing this article, the original ad is no longer appearing.  In a very significant way, this does not really matter, because there are plenty more of them out there.
